The Farmstand

Our original long term goal of the community gardens was to one day have a market. Now that we have the gardens running well, we decided to go for it and start The Farmstand. Every Sunday from 12-4, a few locals, community gardeners and whoever else wants to join in, sell our produce, handmade goods, and food. It’s been a great time connecting with our local community and meeting new people. Stop in and say hi!

Harvest Party

We had our first ever Harvest Party last Sunday.  It was nice to come together with all the gardeners plus their family and friends.  Everyone brought a dish made with fresh ingredients from their garden, and the food was fantastic!  What a wonderful time relaxing in the warm weather, meeting new people, and enjoying farm fresh food.  Until next year!!

Almost at Capacity

Folks, we only have two plots left!  We've only been accepting renters now for two weeks, and we are surprised at how quickly it's filled up.  If you're thinking about renting, I suggest moving quickly or they might be gone.  Not to mention, the majority of our gardeners are in it for the "long haul".  It might be awhile before someone gives up their plot!

Write Up in Local Blog!

Carol Papworth from Russian River Land and Home stopped in yesterday to get to know more about us and why we decided to start a community garden.   She writes a blog on local happenings in our community.  She did a little interview and then compiled a quick video and write up on her blog

Jesse and Amy Stearn came here a couple of years ago from Utah on Vacation and decided to stay when they saw this two parcel property that bordered the Russian River and had space to put in an apple orchard with cider apples.
